AUDITIONS: A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM
Tacoma Little Theatre is holding auditions for the first show of its 96th Season, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Suzy Willhoft, on July 13th and July 14th.
This production of Shakespeare's comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream will be modern/contemporary in setting and costumes. The 13 member company (using doubling of Theseus/Oberon, Hippolyta/Titania, Philostrate/Puck, Egeus/Quince, and the Mechanicals/Fairies, and including Bottom, Hermia, Helena, Demetrius and Lysander) will have parts for 3-8 women and 5-10 men. Ages 16 and up and all ethnicities are welcome. Please prepare a SHORT (1 minute) Shakespearean monologue. Auditions may include some brief cold readings as well as the memorized piece.
Auditions will be held Sunday, March 13th & Monday, July 14th at Tacoma Little Theatre. Audition appointments will be set between the times of 7:00pm-10:00pm. Callbacks will be held on Wednesday, July 16th.
