PLAY SYNOPSIS:
Ebenezer Scrooge is a miserly, angry, and bitter man that no one particularly cares for. All of that changes late in the night on the Christmas Eve of 1899 when Scrooge opens the lid to a gift given to him by his niece, Fredericka. Upon opening the present, Scrooge inadvertently releases the Spirits of Christmas which wreak mayhem and havoc on Scrooge and haunt him during the late hours of the night.

The Spirits require a penance from Scrooge and he is required to bear witness to his depressed memories and thoughts. Throughout the night Scrooge relives all the decisions that have ever lead him down the path of fear. Along with his past, Scrooge is shown the present world around him as well as an ominous shadow of the future.

RDTC brings Charles Dickens' classic story to life in a unique and intriguing way blending the grimy and dirty world of late Victorian England and kachina spirits of the Hopi peoples of the southwestern United States. A Christmas Carol is an exciting journey of the human spirit from darkness into light; from despair into hope; from grief into joy!

RDTC'S, A Christmas Carol will bring you closer to the true spirit of the Holiday season and will transform your opinions about the classic tale that has captured our imaginations for almost two hundred years!

Casting at the Red Door Theatre Company:
RDTC is looking for actors who enjoy the creation process.
(Actors willing to CREATE a new, living & breathing adaptation of a well established character.)
