AUDITIONS: Seeking male-identifying Actors ages 13 to 17 for the roles of Billy Flynn and Amos Hart. Interested Actors should send a one minute monologue from a play and a one minute cut of a musical theatre song to mhildebrand@ntpa.org (Director, Megan Hildebrand) no later than Saturday, January 3rd for consideration.
REHEARSALS: Sundays from 2:30 - 6:30pm beginning January 4th (plus some select Saturdays). Tech Week is mandatory and begins Sunday, February 15th and goes through Wednesday, February 18th. Conflicts will be considered on a case to case basis.
PERFORMANCES: Thursday, February 19th @ 7pm; Friday, February 20th @ 7pm; Saturday, February 21st @ 2pm AND 7pm; Sunday, February 22nd @ 2pm AND 7pm. Actors must be available for all performances. No conflicts allowed.
SHOW SYNOPSIS: In the “Roaring Twenties” Chicago, aspiring Vaudeville star, Roxie Hart, murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap…until he finds out he’s been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and fellow murderess, Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces in search for the American Dream: fame, fortune, and acquittal. This sharp-edged satire features a dazzling score that sparked immortal staging by Bob Fosse.
