The Theater Project and Cranford Library will showcase staged readings of three new plays on November 16 at the Cranford Community Center. The works include Ruby in the Rough by Lynn Marie Macy, focusing on three showgirls whose friendship is tested on a pivotal New Year's Eve; The Nature of the Stars by Rosemary Parrillo, which tells the story of a bookstore owner dealing with loss and a young customer's discovery of poetry; and You’re Getting Sleepy by Joseph Vitale, where a hypnotist's act reveals unexpected truths after a drink alters his state. After the readings, audiences will have the chance to engage in discussions with the playwrights about their reactions and insights.
