Wasabia is a dark comedy by Wendy Herlich that explores an unconventional friendship between Vivian, a 73-year-old dealing with early-stage dementia, and Carla, a 19-year-old hospice volunteer. As Vivian enlists Carla's help in obtaining life-ending drugs, their bond is tested amid surreal alternate realities represented by characters Val and Di, who personify medications and their effects. The world premiere at Centenary Stage Company promises a thought-provoking narrative filled with humor and introspection, running from April 3 to April 13, 2025.

Centenary Stage Set To Open World Premiere Of Wendy Herlich's New Play WASABIA.
March 25, 2025 Centenary Stage Company will open the world premiere of Wasabia by Wendy Herlich next week. The production was originally a part of CSC’s Women Playwrights Series Readings in the Spring of 2024 and through that process was selected for the Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation award giving it a full production in this season’s lineup.
