Centenary Stage Company concludes its Women Playwrights Series with a staged reading of Not It! by Kathleen Coudle-King, performed at the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center on the campus of Centenary University. Set in rural North Dakota, the play follows three sisters who reunite after the death of their last parent to sort through belongings at a garage sale, only to face a deeper question: who will take responsibility for their developmentally disabled younger sister. Coudle-King, a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts and current Managing Artistic Director of Empire Theatre Company, has written more than 50 plays produced nationwide, often centering on social justice themes and women's stories. The Women Playwrights Series has been a part of Centenary Stage Company's programming since 1992, supporting more than 80 female playwrights and bringing 20 world premieres to the stage.
