In his NJPAC debut, composer and pianist Max Richter performs his original works alongside the American Contemporary Music Ensemble (ACME). Richter's music fuses classical technique with electronic technology, spanning genre-defining solo albums and scores for film, dance, art, and fashion. His score for the film Hamnet earned him nominations for Best Original Score at the Academy Awards, Critics Choice Awards, and Golden Globe Awards. ACME, led by cellist and artistic director Clarice Jensen, has been active since 2004 and is recognized by NPR as 'contemporary music dynamos.' Performers include Ben Russell and George Meyer on violin, Kal Sugatski on viola, and Andrew Janss and Caleb van der Swaagh on cello.
