Spring Lake Theatre Presents ANNIE
Leapin' Lizards! The Spring Lake Theatre Company opens the 2017-18 season with the beloved musical Annie, with 10 performances from July 6 - 23 at the historic Spring Lake Theatre in Spring Lake, NJ.
With music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin and book by Thomas Meehan, this musical telling of the timeless tale of little orphan Annie has charmed generations of fans for more than forty years.
Set in 1930s New York City, the story follows 11-year-old Annie as she finds refuge from an orphanage run by Miss Hannigan when billionaire Oliver Warbucks invites her to spend the Christmas holiday with him. The production boasts a large cast under the direction of Andrew Ferrie with Danielle Schindledecker (choreographer), Beth Moore (musical director) and Patricia Barry (producer). The cast features Gwyneth Fahy in the title role, Doug Moore as Oliver Warbucks, Marybeth Dorman Jacobson as Miss Hannigan, Anne Miele as Grace Farrell, and enough singers, dancers, orphans - and a dog named Sandy - to make you forget all about the "Hard Knock Life" and believe that the sun really will come out "Tomorrow".
Performances are July 6,7,8,14,15,21 and 22 at 7:30 pm and July 9,16 and 23 at 2 pm. Tickets are available at springlaketheatre.com or at the box office by phone, 732-449-4530, or in person at Spring Lake Theatre, 300 Madison Avenue, Spring Lake, NJ.
