HPAC Presents ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, Beg. Tonight

The Hendersonville Performing Arts Company (formerly known as The Steeple Players' presents their next production, the Broadway Musical, Irving Berlin's 'Annie Get Your Gun' opening tonight, February 13th and running through March 3rd with performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 and on Saturday and Sunday at 2:00. There will be an additional performance at 7:30 on Sunday, March 3rd.

Craig Morgan, one of country music's best-loved artists, along with the Tennessee State Division of Fire Prevention, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, and Kidde Fire Safety, announced the first group of fire departments to receive Kidde smoke alarms during the singer's VA Mortgage Leader Presents Craig Morgan The Journey Tour. The donations are part of Kidde's "Be a Safety Hero" initiative, which highlights five simple steps to fire safety with support from Morgan, who is a spokesperson. Kidde, a leading manufacturer of residential fire safety products, is a part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

Teens Compete for Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee Youth of the Year Honor Today

Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee will host a competition in which one teen member will be named the local Youth of the Year. The newly named Middle Tennessee Youth of the Year will next compete against other Boys & Girls Clubs members across Tennessee for the state title and a $1,000 college scholarship from Tupperware Brands Corporation and a $5,000 college scholarship from the Tennessee Titans Foundation. State winners move on to vie for the distinction of one of five regional winners across the country, and ultimately those five winners will contend for the title of National Youth of the Year.

Man and Superman, a rarely performed play by George Bernard Shaw, is currently being produced by The Blackbird Theater in Nashville. In its entirety, Man and Superman is said to be around five hours in length, but The Blackbird Theater has adapted the play, with direction by Beki Baker, and it now sits at a nice and much more manageable two hours and forty-five minutes.
