New Musical Theater Nashville Announces The First Stage, a Quarterly Musical Concert Series at Analog

In Partnership with Hutton Hotel and ASCAP

First Show Saturday, March 7th

New Musical Theater Nashville (NMTM) has teamed up with Analog at Hutton Hotel [analognashville.com] and ASCAP [ascap.com] for a new concert series, The First Stage. This series gives local Nashville theatrical playwrights and performers a chance to showcase their new work by performing excerpts from musicals in development in the intimate atmosphere of Analog. The first show is set for Saturday, March 7th, featuring jazz singer Sarah Aili [sarahaili.com] and Meredith DiMenna [meredithdimenna.com]. Aili's musical Back in Birmingham was co-written with master Texan songwriter Radney Foster. DiMenna will perform I Make Sense in Texas, a rock 'n' roll cabaret featuring comedic narrative and original songs.

"This series is designed as a next step from our existing writers round style concerts that have been a sell-out success," says Douglas Waterbury Tieman, founder of NMTM. "By offering writers a full 45 minute set to tell the story of their musical vision we are forging a development pipeline here in Nashville toward the creation of original and dynamic new works of Musical Theatre."

The First Stage aims to center and appreciate the art form of musical theater in Nashville, as well as nurture its burgeoning scene by putting the spotlight on the talent and giving their works a voice. Analog at Hutton Hotel, a home away from home for artists and visionaries, makes the perfect place for creatives to feel emboldened to

try something new. With a world-class sound design by audio engineer Michael Cronin and a living-room feel, Analog is made for moments like these.

Subsequent concerts in the series will take place on June 13th and September 12th. Lineups for these shows and more show dates will be announced in the coming months. Visit HERE for more details about the shows.

Please reach out if you would like to attend the March 7th show or have an interview request. We are happy to facilitate.
