Improv inspired by local music. The Local Music Scene is an improv show that uses live music performed by local musicians as inspiration for improvised, comedic scenes. It is produced and hosted by Philip Simondet and directed by Sarah Arnold-Simondet, and has been running monthly at Bryant Lake Bowl since 2015. Jen Scott is a Twin Cities-based musician, theater-maker, and teaching artist. Jen has written music for a variety of organizations in the past, and started writing music for herself in 2020. She's hoping to finish a full-length album this summer, under the pretend band name "Penny and the Bandits". You can often find Jen at HUGE Theater, at the Bryant Lake Bowl, and at the Bakken Museum.
