Formed to celebrate the unique and inspirational power of African gospel music, this acclaimed, 20-strong choir draws on the best talent from churches in and around Soweto. World-renowned and Grammy® Award-winning Soweto Gospel Choir has been proclaimed as “Meticulous and unstoppable ... spirited and spectacular” by The New York Times, and “a slice of musical heaven” by Australian Stage, Melbourne. This will be an evening to treasure, filled with joy, celebration, tradition, and spectacle. This unique concert is presented as part of Michigan State University’s Year of Global Africa.
