An award-winning concert based on the poetry, testimonies, and writings of women who were victims and survivors of Holocaust atrocities, performed by Canada's Payadora Tango Ensemble. Set to music in the style of 1930s Polish tangos, the songs tell stories of loss, resilience, and survival, including works based on Holocaust survivor Molly Applebaum's diary and memoir, Buried Words. The concert is performed in Yiddish with English supertitles. Scholar Carolina Simon will conduct a talk-back after the 11:30 am performance, and historian Dr. Robert Watson will do the same after the 7 pm performance.
