Sleeping Beauty and the Orchestra at Duncan Theatre

Palm Beach Symphony presents an original production set to the music of Tchaikovsky, part of the Dale A. McNulty Children's Concert Series. Music Director Gerard Schwarz conducts, while his wife Jody Schwarz narrates the script she wrote. Illustrations by South Florida artist Michelle Sherman appear on screen during the performance, telling the story of Princess Beauty Hamilton as she auditions for a royal orchestra and faces a curse cast by a jealous rival. The concert blends storytelling, live orchestral performance and visuals featuring excerpts from Tchaikovsky's works including Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, Russian Dance, and Swan Lake.
