Aventura's inaugural Cabaret by the Bay Series concludes with multiple Emmy-Award winning actress, spokeswoman, comedienne and personality Sally Struthers taking the stage with words, song, stories, tears and laughter.
One of the funniest performers of our time, Sally Struthers is best known for her multiple Emmy Award winning role as Gloria on the iconic show that changed television forever, "All in the Family". She was "Daddy's Little Goil" and Gloria will live forever in TV history! In addition to her vast credits on television, Sally has also appeared in multiple feature films and on Broadway in Neil Simon's "The Odd Couple" (female version), "Grease" and as Miss Hannigan in "Annie". In 2008 Sally starred as Mother Superior in the 25th Anniversary Tour of "Nunsense" and has appeared in numerous regional theater productions.
In this intimate evening, Sally takes you on a journey. From growing up in Portland, Oregon singing in school the naughty songs her Dad taught her and the silly ones her Mom wrote to performing in the television box when the insides were out for repair. From being the "most promising student" at The Pasadena Playhouse College of Theatre Arts to auditioning for commercials and NOT being cast as The Ponds Girl, but FRIEND of the Ponds Girl. From working on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and The Tim Conway Comedy Hour, to dating Elvis Presley, to the crazy audition process for "All in the Family" and stories from years of working with Carroll, Jean and Rob. Sally also explores her years in the theater with some of her favorite songs from shows like "Hello, Dolly!" and "Annie". She introduces us to all of the famous people in her life along the way and discusses some of the travails and joys of being a Mom.
