The AKI Family Arts Festival marks its 20th anniversary with a free day of inclusive arts experiences for children and families at the Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center on May 2, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava will present the AKI Inclusion Legacy Award to members of the AKI Steering Group, honoring their work in advancing arts accessibility over the past two decades. The festival will feature Doodle POP, a sensory-inclusive main stage performance by Brush Theatre of Seoul, South Korea, which follows a sea turtle's journey back to the ocean through live music, interactive screen projections, and live whiteboard drawings. The event includes accommodations such as ASL interpretation, assistive listening devices, noise-cancelling headsets, audio description, and a Quiet Room, and is presented by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with The Children's Trust and The Taft Foundation.
