Stage Door Theatre presents La Cage Aux Folles. The show is the 26 year old company's premiere production in their new home, the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center (LPAC). La Cage Aux Folles opened on August 31st and will run through September 23rd.

Stage Door Theatre's first production at Lauderhill Performing Arts Center (LPAC), their brand new, state-of-the-art home, will be the multiple Tony Award-winning La Cage Aux Folles.   The production will open on August 31st and run through September 23rd.   (The theatre will celebrate the move to their new home at a Gala Party on September 1st - details to be announced.)

Kravis Center To Host Ballet Auditions For Magnifique Winter Intensive

Auditions for the Magnifique Winter Intensive will be held at the Kravis Center on Sunday, October 14, from 1-3:30 p.m. Students who are selected will participate in the Magnifique Winter Intensive, Jan 2-6, to train with ballet dancers and instructors from France in the pure tradition of l'Ecole Francaise (the French School).
Palm Beach Dramaworks Presents Second Annual ONE HUMANITY Tour

Palm Beach Dramaworks' One Humanity Tour, a project designed for sixth-grade students that aims to contribute to the development of informed, thoughtful, and compassionate citizens, launches its second season on September 6 at The Conservatory School. Thus far 11 performances have been booked for the tour, which concludes on October 4, and more Palm Beach County middle schools will be added in the coming weeks.

Managing Director Donna Carbone announced the first offering in the Burt Reynolds Institute's new Plays in Progress black box theater series. Carbone, a published author and playwright, is also the moderator of the Institute's creative writing class. SHOTS! was written by 18-year-old Christina Karabiyik, a student in that class, and offers an in-depth look at gun violence from the perspective of those facing the possibility of death. Her reason for writing this play was personal. A few years ago, she lived directly across the street from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.

In April 2018, the New World Symphony joined The Sphinx Organization and the League of American Orchestras in announcing their new partnership, the National Alliance for Audition Support (NAAS), which is a field-wide initiative with the long-term goal of increasing diversity in American orchestras. Supported by a four-year, $1.8 million grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Alliance offers a holistic and personalized array of support to Black and Latinx musicians to develop their audition skills, increase their participation in auditions, and ultimately, increase their representation in orchestras.
