This Tony Award winner for Best Musical and Drama Desk Award winner for Outstanding New Musical is a comedy "lovingly ripped off from" the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. King Arthur, so dubbed when the Lady of the Lake gave him Excalibur, travels England in search of knights for his Round Table who go on a search for the Holy Grail. With musical numbers like "He Is Not Dead Yet" and "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life," Monty Python's Spamalot "raises silliness to an art form!" -The Sunday Times

Monty Python's Spamalot is directed by Scott Ferguson (Xanadu) and features Bill Andrews (Sunset Boulevard; Peter Pan) with Playhouse on the Square Resident Company Members Carla McDonald, David Foster, Jordan Nichols, and Kent Reynolds. Also featured: Ryan Kathman (The 39 Steps), Cary Vaughn (Debbie Does Dallas; Legally Blonde), and Jonathan Christian.

Monty Python's Spamalot runs January 24 - February 16 at Playhouse on the Square. The Pay What You Can performance is Thursday, January 30 at 8:00 pm. There is no performance on Sunday, February 9 due to the Unified Professional Theatre Auditions. Playhouse on the Square is located at 66 S. Cooper Street in Midtown Memphis.
