Thank You, Omu! is a new theatrical adaptation of Oge Mora's beloved children's book, commissioned by the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine. This production aims to celebrate Black and Brown voices in children's literature while exploring themes of belonging, community, and imagination. Engaging in a collaborative development process, the show is set to fully open on February 1, 2027, as part of the 2026-2027 Children’s Theatre Season. The adaptation will serve as a cornerstone production for the theater's mission to inspire children through play.
