The Cat in the Hat narrates the tale of Horton, an elephant who finds a tiny world on a speck of dust, home to the Whos, including a young Who named Jojo. Horton has to protect the Whos and care for an egg left by Mayzie La Bird. Despite facing ridicule and danger, Gertrude McFuzz stands by him. In the end, friendship, loyalty, and community prevail.
