Class is a spoof, inspired by a true story.
The Monday after Martin Luther King’s assassination in 1968, Riceville, Iowa third-grade teacher, Jane Elliott, set out to teach her students a lesson about prejudice.
In this fictional re-telling, the teacher is confronted by a parent angry over the unusual lesson, but the parent – and the principal - quickly become students themselves, and learn the lesson with hilarious and tragic consequences.
