On April 27, 2012, one of the legends of indie rock of the 80s and 90s will perform on the stage of Rockhal: The Lemonheads. The band will play, among others, the classic "It's a shame about Ray." A real must for fans and a unique opportunity to (re-) discover!
Evan Griffith Dando Lemonheads founded with two school friends in 1986. A few months later, they released what is meanwhile become one of the most sought vestiges of punk 80 years: their maximum indie "Laughing All the Way to the Cleaners." The media buzz around the Lemonheads went into high gear and the group immediately caused a stir!
The fifth album of the Lemonheads, "It's a shame about Ray" was an international success that has been ranked among the best albums of the 90s by Pitchfork Media's. It was reissued with a new version of "Mrs. Robinson" by Simon & Garfunkel, which was also released as a single.
In 2005, after his return to the Lemonheads project that was off for 9 years, the group of Evan Griffith Dando recorded two other albums with the same name was the first to mark the event. This album contained collaborations with musicians such as Garth Hudson and J Mascis on selected songs. With the album "Varshons" in 2009, it was the turn of other artists like Gram Parsons, Wire, GG Allin and Christina Aguilera.
This concert will not be the occasion of a retrospective of the last album, but a return to base, to the delight of fans. The tour has already raised an incredible success in the States and now, The Lemonheads are about to capture the Luxembourg. On 27 April 2012, are part of the concert of a group that has influenced musicians for two decades!
