After "Kiwi" by Daniel Danis, CarréRotondes created in early 2011, the play "The Children", the great English playwright Edward Bond, is the latest project of the Participatory Co. Grand Boube.
Edward Bond tells stories where humanity - in the sense of human nature - is problematized: it is not acquired once and for all, especially not innate, but requires a positive commitment on a daily basis for each of us. Faced with the danger of loss of humanity, one is hope, that to achieve re-imagination of the linkages between human beings.
In "The Children", adults are unable either to bear the consequences of their actions, or to resist the cancer vengeance. The mother eventually condemn the violence of a son she has yet led to crime. The stranger, meanwhile, saved by the children, murdering those who helped to avenge the death of his son, killed in an arson. Throughout the story, the ability to reform the boy inflammatory and other children who follow in his flight moving their great reservoir of imagination and willingness intact, appear to be the engine of hope.
