Give a Beat, the music-based nonprofit lauded for changing the course for incarcerated individuals, is proud to announce the launch of its new record label, Give a Beat Records. The new label will throw a launch party in Downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. KCRWs Jeremy Sole will host and DJ during this special evening. geriFree, the DJ and producer behind Give a Beat Record's initial offering will also perform along with her mentor, LA nightlife staple Spiorita. The label launch event will also function as a record release party for geriFrees captivating house track "Pure Joy," which comes out September 16. Special guest Michael Mendoza, National Policy Director of the Anti-Recidivism Coalition, will briefly speak about how the power of music can be catalyzed to propel policy changes.
