Trans Lineage: Rites of Passage at Celebration Theatre

Trans Lineage: Rites of Passage explores the transformative experiences of trans identities through three world premiere one-act plays, each presenting a unique perspective on rites of passage across diverse cultures and historical contexts. Directed by Nico Pang and produced by Petey Gibson, the show features an all-trans ensemble including Alex Song-Xia, Lee Baladejo, Olabisi Kovabel, Phi Kenzie, and Shawn Christopher Lovell Nabors. Developed through a collaborative Writers' Room, the production showcases works by Amari Amai, Dom Martello, and Oscar K., highlighting the contributions of a majority trans creative team. The show runs at Celebration Theatre from December 4 to December 13.
