LOS ANGELES, CA — Oct 1, 2026 — ShotzLA returns with its latest installment of the celebrated micro-play and short film festival, ShotzLA: Ghost Town, bringing together a talented ensemble of actors, writers, directors, and filmmakers for one unforgettable night of fast-paced, original theater.

On Thursday, October 29, 2026, audiences will experience a collection of brand-new short tales, all inspired by the theme: “Ghost Town.”

The Challenge

ShotzLA gives its artists an unusual creative challenge: writers receive a cast of actors and a set of themes, then have just two weeks to write a 5–6 minute script tailored to their assigned performers. The directors and casts then have two weeks to rehearse before bringing these original works to the stage and screen.

The result is a night of spontaneous, hilarious, surprising, and provocative theater that can only happen once.

For this month's installment, every piece must:

• Relate to the theme “Ghost Town”

• Include the line “I really feel alive!”

• Feature someone reenacting a moment from the past
