Mount Wilson Observatory (MWO)—Southern California’s esteemed home to several of the most groundbreaking astronomical discoveries in history—is pleased to present the final “Sunday Afternoon Concerts in the Dome” of its 2025 season, inside the magnificent vaulted dome of MWO’s historic 100-inch telescope.

On Sunday, October 19, 2025, back by popular demand, the audience is invited to experience Mariachi Lindas Mexicanas, for a lively and uplifting carte blanche program announced from the stage.

Mariachi Lindas Mexicanas was founded in Boyle Heights, California in 2007 by musical director Maricela Martínez, a musician with more than 20 years of experience in the mariachi business. Martínez comes from a long family tradition of mariachi musicians from Jalisco, Mexico, where she has been a member of the most prestigious mariachi bands on both sides of the border. Mariachi Lindas Mexicanas has performed, collaborated and participated in several high-profile projects, including a Latin GRAMMY’s performance with Mon Laferte, Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party, Red Bull Music Academy, Netflix, and Phillip Lim among many others. The goal of Mariachi Lindas Mexicanas is to share this tradition with younger generations around the world.

As in previous seasons, Artistic Director Cécilia Tsan (Principal Cellist, Long Beach Symphony and Los Angeles Master Chorale) curates the series. Each concert date of the season features the same program presented twice—first at 3:00pm and again at 5:00pm. There will be an artist reception at 4:00pm between each concert’s hour-long session. Tickets cost $60 each and are available for purchase online in advance (highly recommended) or at the door, given availability. For more information on this concert, please visit www.mtwilson.edu/events/concert101925.
