Matinicus: A Lighthouse Play is based on the true story of Abigail Burgess, a young lighthouse keepers daughter, living on a rock 25 miles off the coast of Maine. A one-woman play of humor and heroism, about keeping the lights on at any cost. This is a staged reading. This new play will be presented as a LAB Workshop. Workshops are an essential part of the play development process. We are proud to offer this as part of our On The Radar (OTR) New Works Program that aims to support the creation of diverse new stories by emerging U.S. playwrights
