Shackleton Theatrics Presents Lands by Jaz Woodcock Stewart. A 90 minute comedy focused on the challenge of communication without understanding. Hunter Mahmoud Abal brings the absurdist world of Jaz Woodcock-Stewart's writing to life, while Michael (played by Michael Lanham) remains stuck on his trampoline, Alec (played by Alec Anderson-Carrasco) is glued to his jigsaw puzzle. Through collaboration and friendship, these two companions must work together to overcome their eccentric vices, but is this a puzzle that simply can't be fixed? Lands opens on September 11th at the Broadwater Blackbox Theatre. It will perform ever Thursday and Friday following until the end of September, performing each night at 8:00pm. With general admission priced at $20 a ticket, you don't want to miss out! This show contains crass and vulgar language that may not be suitable for children. ABOUT SHACKLETON THEATRICS Shackleton Theatrics is dedicated to pursuing The Spirit of Adventure It is our primary goal to produce new works and forgotten classics that value colorful stories anchored by fast-paced narratives and culminate in a deep emotional catharsis. Whatever genres, tones, or themes used in pursuit of that criteria, are less important. The idea of adventure is a very open concept, and can come from projects of massive scope and scale, or incredibly intimate and personal experiences. We are focused on making our audiences feel that they have gone on a journey. The idea that the world they’re re-entering once the show ends is not quite the same as the one they left when it began. Shackleton Theatrics was officially founded in 2024 by its Lead Producer Park Lytle. It focuses on the development and recussitation of works generated by young and unestablished artists in the Los Angeles Area. Through creative collaboration and methodical strategy, Shackleton Theatrics seeks to bring life to unique productions from its early conversations to its professional debut. Shackleton Theatrics adheres to the motto Periculum Explorandum (Explore the Dangers.) We seek to never run away from ideas that may appear risky or unprecedented, but rather push to seek answers and solutions to ensure each new adventure will be successful.
