Jazz / Carte Blanche to Tom Ranier at Mount Wilson Observatory, 100-Inch Telescope Dome

Jazz / Carte Blanche to Tom Ranier features musicians Tom Ranier (piano), Larry Koonse (guitar), and Darek Oles (bass) taking the piano-guitar-bass trio format into the 21st century with jazz compositions, standards from the American songbook, and classical pieces. The concert is held inside the historic vaulted dome of Mount Wilson Observatory's 100-inch Telescope. Two one-hour performances are presented, first at 3:00pm and again at 5:00pm, with an artist reception at 4:00pm between performances. The series is curated by Artistic Director Cécilia Tsan, Principal Cellist of the Long Beach Symphony and Los Angeles Master Chorale.
