Author Dr. Meg Palisoc reads her children's book Casper, the Rescue Dog, in which a girl named Angie sets out with her parents to get a pet dog, finds a rescue dog named Casper, and learns the true meaning of the word rescue. Actors Pamela Michael and Bryan Siu perform, with music by John Courtney, costumes by Mylette Nora, and stage management by Sarah Acuna. The event is produced and directed by Dina Morrone, in partnership with the animal shelter Love at First Mutt. Each child attending receives their own copy of the book plus a second copy to give to a friend.
