For Want of a Horse, the world premiere of Olivia Dufault's darkly comic exploration of love, desire, and unconventional relationships, opens April 19 at The Echo Theater Company in a production directed by Elana Luo. Joey Stromberg stars as Calvin, a devoted husband who confesses to his best friend PJ (Steven Culp) that he needs to open his marriage to a new romantic partner. The complication, as his wife Bonnie (Jenny Soo) soon discovers, is that this partner is Q-Tip — a horse, played by Griffin Kelly. Performances run through May 25.
