DrumatiX: Rhythm, Redefined! at The Ford

DrumatiX brings a high-energy performance combining tap dance, body percussion, live drumming, found objects, and DIY instruments to The Ford. Founded and led by choreographer Noa Barankin, the company creates rhythm through feet, bodies, drums, and everyday materials, blending dance and percussion into one language. The 45-minute piece, Rhythm, Redefined!, is a punchier iteration of a full-length work Barankin has been developing, evolved from a version presented at La Jolla Playhouse's WOW Festival. Recommended for audiences ages 3-11 and their families, the show is nonverbal and highly visual, presented by the Los Angeles Philharmonic as part of LA Soundscapes Family Concerts.
