Barefoot in the Park at The Whitmore Theatre

Rotation Theatre Company Proudly Presents: Neil Simon’s Barefoot in the Park.

Los Angeles, CA — Rotation Theatre Company (RTC) is thrilled to present the debut show of its 2026/2027 season, Barefoot in the Park.

Rotation Theatre Company is committed to expanding opportunities for young artists through a unique model of creative rotation. By encouraging emerging performers, directors, and producers to take on new roles with every production, RTC opens doors that are too often closed to early-career creatives. Founded by young artists, for young artists, RTC merges theatre and film to spark innovation, expand opportunity, and redefine what’s possible on stage and beyond.

“There’s something so magical about the ‘opposites attract’ trope, especially when it is deconstructed and executed as genuinely as it is here,” said director Lindsay Jane, reflecting on what drew her to the play. “This story is such a delicious illustration of learning your partner’s love languages, as well as your own—and this was long before ‘love languages’ were even a part of the vernacular. The plot revels in the growing pains that so many couples go through and celebrates the strength and perspective and even deeper love that comes from them.”

Barefoot in the Park will run from Friday, November 6, 2026 through Sunday, November 22, 2026 at The Whitmore-Lindley Theatre in North Hollywood, CA. Performances start at 8:00pm Friday/Saturday evenings and at 3:00pm on Sunday afternoons. (House opens 20min before showtime.)

Rotation Theatre Company invites you to trade the daily hustle and bustle for a six-flight climb, a hole in the skylight, and a little newlywed bliss. Join us for an evening (or afternoon) of mismatched temperaments, blind dates, little pink pills, and the delightful chaos of learning to live—and love—together. Because sometimes, happily ever after starts with a very small, very cold apartment.
