2025 Extravaganza One Act Fest at Playhouse West

North Hollywood, CA — This summer, Playhouse West invites audiences to experience bold, authentic storytelling with its 2025 Extravaganza One Act Fest, running May 31 through June 15, Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm, 4pm, and 7pm. The festival features 22 one-act plays, offering a dynamic platform for original voices and emerging playwrights.

Held on the Studio 2 stage in North Hollywood, the festival includes six curated performance blocks and showcases 18 original plays developed within the Playhouse West creative community. Tickets are $10 general admission, or $5 for Playhouse West students and alumni.

After each performance block, audience members are invited to stay for networking, photo opportunities, and conversations with the writers, actors, and director—an open space to connect with fellow creatives in the Los Angeles theater community.

Playhouse West, founded in 1981 by Robert Carnegie and Jeff Goldblum, has long been a training ground for committed artists, with alumni such as Tessa Thompson, Ashley Judd, Jim Parrack, and Scott Caan. Known for its Meisner Technique training and strong repertory tradition, the school continues to provide an incubator for actors, writers, and directors to collaborate and grow.
