Stony Brook Opera is thrilled to present Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, which initially premiered in 1762 with libretto by Ranieri de’ Calzabigi. The opera tells of the mythical Orpheus descending into the underworld to demand his wife Eurydice’s return.
