MAMA/RUN at LaGuardia Performing Arts Center

Written and created by Lester Eugene Mayers, MAMA/RUN is part poetry, part movement, part ritual, journeying into the complicated terrain between mothers and children, where love, abandonment, survival, and memory can occupy the same space. Through breath, language and the body, Mayers explores what we inherit from our mothers and how family stories continue to shape those left to tell them. The piece returns to LPAC as a fuller theatrical workshop following its spring reading.
