King Berenger has only minutes to live. With his family and last remaining servants he refuses to accept his inevitable fate and defy the heavens. Yet the clock is ticking and the world around him is slipping away. What will those around him have to sacrifice to bring him to accept his fate? At the core of Ionesco's classic absurdist play is the great unanswered. How does man perceive death? An invitation to a hereafter or a plague of darkness? Come with us on a journey into the soul of man and see what truly makes us who we are.
