This collaborative, script in hand performance brings together the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival and the Bach Aria Soloists for an all-female program.

Riveting scenes from Shakespeare’s “Macbeth,” “As You Like it,” “King Lear,” “Hamlet,” “A Midsummer Night's Dream,” “Taming of the Shrew,” “Twelfth Night,” “Othello” and “Merry Wives of Windsor,” with music composed by Barbara Strozzi, Hildegard von Bingen, Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, Marianna Martines, Cecilia McDowall and Susan Kander.

Chioma Anyanwu
Heart of America Shakespeare Festival
Chioma Anyanwu is thrilled to be a part of this evening of storytelling! A local AEA actor, she has had the privilege of working with the Unicorn Theatre, KC Rep, MTH, Starlight Theatre, The Living Room, The Fishtank, Spinning Tree, Kansas City Actors Theatre and Heart of America Shakespeare Festival in their 2022 production of Romeo & Juliet. Chioma holds a BFA in Theatre Arts from Stephens College, and an MFA in Acting/Directing from UMKC.
Kendra Keller
Heart of America Shakespeare Festival
Kendra Keller is thrilled to be part of this wonderful coming together of music and theatre. Last summer Kendra took part in the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival's outdoor performance of The Tempest after having had the pleasure of working on the indoor joint production with HASF and UMKC. Before that, Kendra participated in JCCC Midwest Trust Center’s online production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, filmed at Yardley Hall. Work with HASF also includes Romeo & Juliet, Hamlet and Merchant of Venice, as well as educational programs Romeo & Juliet to Go and Heroes & Villains.
Jan Rogge
Heart of America Shakespeare Festival
Jan Rogge is thrilled to be back working with the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival and the Bach Aria Soloists. She has worked at HASF as Queen Elizabeth in Shakespeare In Love, Hamlet, A Winter’s Tale, Othello, Romeo & Juliet, Twelfth Night and Macbeth. Jan was recently seen in Grand Horizons at Kansas City Actors Theatre, where she is also an artistic member. Her KCAT shows as an actor include The Price, The Pests, Night Mother, Blithe Spirit, A Lie of The Mind, My Old Lady, Crimes of The Heart, Good People, Marion Bridge, Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf? and she directed their production of Sea Marks. Jan’s KC theatre roles include a world premiere, Unreliable, (KC Repertory Theatre); Sweat, Tribes, Other Desert Cities (Unicorn Theatre); Mother/son (KC Melting Pot Theatre); Casa Valentina (Spinning Tree Theatre); You Can’t Take It with You (New Theatre) and Eleemosynary (Fishtank Theatre). Her regional credits include work with Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Cornell University, North Shore Music Theatre, Utah Shakespeare Festival and the Old Globe Theatre.
Chelsea Rolfes
Heart of America Shakespeare Festival
Chelsea Rolfes was most recently seen last summer as Ariel in Heart of America Shakespeare Festival’s production of The Tempest. Other local work includes Romeo and Juliet (HASF), Twelfth Night (KCRep), Dance Nation (Unicorn Theatre), and Dragons Love Tacos (The Coterie). Outside of KC, she has worked with Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, First Folio Theatre, Babes with Blades and Muse of Fire Theatre. She holds an MFA in Acting from UMKC.
Meredith Wolfe
Heart of America Shakespeare Festival
Meredith Wolfe is so grateful to share the stage with this talented ensemble of women. Recent productions with Heart of America Shakespeare Festival include The Tempest, Romeo & Juliet, and ShakesFear.
