Job Description: 

As the Production Director at Parties & Props, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our clients' visions to life. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual with a background in theater and/or event production, who possesses a strong command of carpentry techniques, scenic design, and fabrication processes. This position requires a creative mindset, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to wear multiple hats while leading a team of talented artists, painters, and carpenters. 

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with clients and the creative team to develop innovative and visually stunning event decor concepts.
• Utilize master carpentry skills to construct props, scenic elements, and custom decor pieces.
• Manage all aspects of the production process, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Supervise and mentor a team of artists, painters, and carpenters to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and timely project delivery. 
• Operate CNC machinery, laser cutters, and other fabrication equipment with precision and efficiency. 
• Proficiently lay vinyl and oversee large format printing projects. 
• Utilize drafting and sketching skills to communicate design ideas and concepts effectively. 
• Experience working with LightBurn and a Laser Cutter is a huge bonus. 
• Maintain a keen eye for detail throughout the production process, ensuring all work meets our high standards of quality and creativity. 
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging team members to contribute their ideas and solutions. 

• Adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines, demonstrating flexibility and resourcefulness in problem- solving. 

  Requirements: 

• Previous experience in theater production, event decor, or a related field.
• Strong master carpentry skills and proficiency in scenic construction techniques. 
• Experience with CNC machinery, laser cutters, and other fabrication tools. 
• Proficiency in laying vinyl and working with large format printing.
• Ability to draft and sketch design concepts as needed. - Familiarity with design software such as LightBurn is a plus. 
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
