A family drama. The father is a former film actor and conservative Republican, a close friend of Ronald Reagan, who was even appointed ambassador. The mother is a former scriptwriter, who gave up her career to support her husband's political career. She is as Republican as she is Jewish. Today, in their old age, they live in a desert city in California. Their son is the producer of a TV reality show and their daughter, who has a history of emotional breakdown, just finished a book that is to be published. At Christmas Eve dinner, the family's ghosts emerge and a battle rages over loyalty, love, life, and death.
