Mcd.ie Presents: Baxter Dury at The Sugar Club

Baxter’s last album, Happy Soup, released during the summer was praised by the media with the Sunday Times describing it as “…an excellent collection of naïve pop, bouncing along on skank bass, cheap synths and dangerous guitar.” and Q Magazine “a charming mix of DIY funk and mockney beat poetry” and “…a charm of an album, filled with heartbreaking and hilarious bon mots and an artistic fearlessness.
