Ragtime at Shea's Performing Arts Center

Ragtime, the 2026 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival directed by Lear deBessonet, will launch its North American Tour at Shea's Buffalo Theatre in fall 2027. The production earned four Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical, Best Sound Design for Kai Harada, Best Actor in a Leading Role for Joshua Henry, and Best Actress in a Leading Role for Caissie Levy. Based on E. L. Doctorow's classic novel, the musical follows three fictional families — Black pianist Coalhouse Walker Jr. and his beloved Sarah, Jewish immigrant Tateh and his daughter, and a wealthy white family led by matriarch Mother — all pursuing the American Dream at the dawn of the 20th century. The production originated at Lincoln Center Theater and will continue to cities across the U.S. and Canada following its Buffalo engagement.
