Due to popular demand, the Alley Theatre announces additional performances of the international sensation Remote Houston, extending the experience through May 20. Since the premiere performance, more than 500 people have discovered a "secret Houston" through the pedestrian-based live art journey. Tickets for all dates are on sale and can be purchased online at alleytheatre.org or by calling the Box Office at 713.220.5700.

"The buzz and feedback we've heard from Remote Houston attendees has been lively and overwhelmingly positive. We are so pleased to see Houstonians and visitors view Houston in an entirely new way and thrilled even more attendees can attend the tours with the extended dates," said Dean Gladden, Managing Director of the Alley Theatre.

Remote Houston, produced by Alley Theatre, presented in association with the University of Houston Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts and 2016 CounterCurrent Festival, was created by Berlin based performance company Rimini Protokoll. This custom designed experience is an extension of the Remote X project, which has been performed in major cities including Berlin, Moscow, New York and Zurich. The Houston Chronicle says "The best thing about "Remote Houston" isn't all it prompts you to ponder. It's the lingering effect: a giddy awareness that you're alive."

Participants will be lead on a journey across the city that alters perceptions of familiar landscapes, unifies the group and conjures up personal memories. Armed with only a set of headphones, a computer generated synthetic voice guides each participant through downtown Houston, allowing them to craft their own interpretation and unique story of the sights, music and surrounding environments they encounter.
