Written by Hannah Ii-Epstein, this is the final play in the trilogy All Buss Up in a HI State, set in the 1990s on the North Shore of Oʻahu. Four friends—Sherrie, Sistah, Lei, and Jason—meet in the forest to mourn a friend's death by spreading his ashes and taking hallucinogens, only for Sherrie's unresolved memories to erupt into tragedy. The play explores the inextricable link between hallucinogens and indigenous rituals celebrating liminality, as the characters share stories haunted by the ghosts of the ʻāina.
