A rotating exhibition of local student artwork at Broward County's Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, En Plane Air, unveiled its fourth installment on January 30th. Highlighting the diverse talents of Broward County students, the exhibition features artwork created by 6- to 10-year-old attendees of the Roosevelt Gardens Park summer camp in the Broward Municipal Services District.

Working with teaching artist Toni Withaneye, the students captured their favorite aspects of Florida through creative - and highly individual - works of art. "We started the project with limited background colors to ensure a preselected outcome," remarks Withaneye. "Each student shows their individuality by using variations of the colors."

On view through February, the exhibition is in Terminal 2, located pre-security on the departures level. This new installment is a collaboration among Broward County's Aviation Department, Cultural Division, Parks and Recreation Division and Municipal Services District.

"Thanks to the ongoing partnership among our Broward County agencies, En Plane Air demonstrates just how creative children can be with the right inspiration and guidance," said Mark Gale, CEO and Director of Aviation for Broward County Aviation Department.
