As August skies begin to darken, the Finnish National Opera Orchestra and Chorus present a heady mix of summer melodies at the closing concert of the Organ Night and Aria Festival at the Espoo Cathedral. Soprano Hanna Rantala and mezzo-soprano Lilli Paasikivi are the featured soloists. Conducted by Marco Ozbi?, the concert will include music from Mendelssohn's Midsummer Night's Dream, Berlioz's Summer Nights song cycle, and J. Strauss II's operetta A Thousand and One Nights.
The concert is arranged in cooperation with the Organ Night and Aria Festival.
