SEEKING
Seeking Equity actors/singers of every cultural background and ethnic
heritage for our upcoming 2019-2020 season. All character types are encouraged. Daytime availability required.
Equity actors local to the Willow Grove PA area are strongly encouraged to audition.
All SM positions have been filled.
PREPARATION
Prepare a song to show vocal range. Accompanist provided. Music must be in your key. Readings from sides provided. Bring Photo and Resume stapled together.

Wizard of Oz
1st Reh: 12/5/19, Opens: 12/11/19, Close: 12/30/19
Dorothy - ingenue, soprano w/mix, genuine, very likable, a dreamer, 18+ to play older teenager
Auntie Em/Good Witch - character actor, mezzo soprano, to play age 35-55. Auntie Em - hard working Kansas farmer, tough as nails, but a soft heart inside.
Good Witch - Light, etherial, whimsical, but has strength and understanding
Mrs. Glitch/Wicked Witch of the West - character actor, mezzo soprano, ugly inside, age 35-55. Mrs. Glitch - mean older eccentric woman who hates just about everything. Wicked Witch - nasty, conniving villain
Hickory/Tinman - tenor, leading man, age 25 to 45. Hickory - farmhand who has a soft heart, gentle manners and a quick wit. Tinman - if there was one he’d be the leading man, sensitive and caring.
Corny/Scarecrow - gender dynamic, character actor, mezzo/baritone, must move well, age 25 to 45. Corny - farmhand who loves to provoke his fellow farmhands in harmless horseplay. Scarecrow - witty and smart without realizing
Leo/Cowardly Lion - gender dynamic, alto/baritone/bass, age 25 to 45. Leo - farmhand who is nervous, scared easily and is often teased by others. Cowardly Lion - big bravado, but nervous and easily scared; a friendly, loveable cat
Professor/ Wizard of Oz - non singing character actor, to play age 35 -55. Professor - door to door peddler of a variety of goods. Con man, could sell you anything. Wizard of Oz - kind hearted man who helps as best he can disguised as a powerful wizard

The Miller - character actor, baritone, Rowena’s father, somewhat of a braggart, is relentless to be on “the good side” of the King, age 40-55
King Avarice - character actor, baritone, greedy and unhappy king, age 35-50
Rumpelstiltskin - character actor, baritone/tenor, mysterious, strange. Very clever with magical powers.
Rowena - ingenue, Mezzo Soprano, sweet, not too bright, yet feisty young daughter of the Miller, always getting her father out of trouble, age 20-35
Kid 1 and Kid 2 - gender dynamic, mezzo soprano or baritone/tenor, narrators and Greek chorus of the story, pop up almost anywhere at anytime age 18-30.

Ariella - igenue 18+ to play 18, strong willed, independent mermaid, mezzo-soprano/soprano
Starsky the Starfish - gender dynamic, Little Mermaid’s sidekick, mezzo/baritone
King Neptune - character actor, Ariella’s father & ruler of the sea, bass/baritone, 40 to 60
Prince - leading man. 20’s, sea loving, kind hearted, good natured, determined, baritone/tenor
Sailor 1/JellyRoll/Valet - versatile character actor to play a variety of ages and character types.
Sailor 2/Sea Hag - gender dynamic, 30 to 50, mainly the Sea Hag who is the magical evil villain, shrewd, clever, sarcastic, alto, mezzo-soprano/baritone.
