Join the inhabitants of the Pride Lands for this African-inspired celebration of The Lion King featuring songs from the film! This original musical theatre production is performed at the Harambe Theater, a state-of-the-art, indoor, 1,500-seat theatre-in-the-round in Disney's Animal Kingdom® at the Walt Disney World® Resort near Orlando, FL.

ECC Procedures are in effect for this audition. An Equity Monitor will be provided.

Upon signing of Walt Disney World® Individual Employment Contract, candidates are eligible to immediately apply for membership in Actors' Equity Association.

SEEKING

Equity dancers for FESTIVAL OF THE LION KING. We will be casting for potential Full-Time and Sub/Casual-Temporary positions.

These characters are confident in themselves as individuals, their relationships with each other, and the rest of the inhabitants of the Pride Lands. Their passion for entertaining and sharing the Lion King story and culture with their audience drives their performances.

MAJI

She is an ethereal and curious bird with a spirited nature. This role possesses excellent ballet technique with solid partnering skills and is comfortable performing aerial routines that involve flying at high altitudes.

MOTO

Displays a strong physical presence, but he also expresses a tender and gentle persona when dancing with Maji. Possesses excellent ballet technique with solid partnering skills. This character performs extensive overhead lifts. For safety purposes, upper body strength is essential to perform this role.

PREPARATION

Please come prepared to learn a combination from the audition choreographer. Some candidates may be asked to stay to learn lifts. Please wear jazz flats. Also, bring your headshot and resume stapled together.
