A hapless, middle-management wonk, on labor arbitrage business in Cambodia, finds himself at a local brothel teeming with underage sex workers. Summoning what little moral outrage he has, he attempts to liberate one of the girls…by buying her. Back at the hotel, his loquacious Indian American business associate says just about anything to seal a deal with prospective clients, and an emotionally fragile, would-be American mother seeks to save her failing marriage by adopting a Cambodian baby.
Seeking:
Cara: Caucasian woman, mid 30s - early 40s. Smart, but emotionally fragile.
Lakshmi: Indian American, 20s. Charming but loquacious businesswoman.
Angkat: Cambodian female, mid - late teens/early 20s. Sex worker.
The following roles are cast. Auditioning performers will be considered as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary.
Kaliyan: CAST. Cambodian woman, 30s. Brothel owner.
Bill: CAST. Caucasian man, 40s - early 50s. Middle management wonk.
